Rook’s Textbook of dermatology covers all aspects of skin disease from basic science through pathology and epidemiology to clinical practice. It has always been particularly highly regarded for its unparalelled coverage of diagnosis. The late Arthur Rook established the Textbook of Dermatology as the most comprehensive work of reference available to the dermatologist and it enjoys instant name recognition. Each subsequent edition has been expanded as the subject has developed and the book remains the ultimate source of clinical information for the trainee and practising dermatologist alike.

The seventh edition contains three completely new chapters on immunodeficiency, AIDS and skin ageing. Many chapters have been completely rewritten from scratch, for example the chapter on molecular biology was thought to be too advanced for the general reader and will be made more introductory. Whilst the book’s traditional emphasis on diagnosis has been preserved, there has been an increased coverage of treatment in each of the disease chapters in response to minor criticisms that previous editions have been comparatively weak in this area.

    Hi,
    I downloaded part I of Rook’s Textbook of Dermatology, but can’t open it. When I try it tells me to insert the disc. Can anyone tell me how to open it? And would it be the same for the other parts – I haven’t downloaded them yet.

    100 s times I downloaded Rook’s Bible of Dermatology ,but no one in Mousul could open it !!!!

    Reply: The downloaded file is in rar format, so you need winrar to open it, links to that free program is given in the right side bar. Download and install winrar once and your problem will be solved but downloading the rar file 100 times without the right program to open it is not gonna help.
